Sobre Mim
Bacharel e mestre em cinema (UFPB, 2017; UFS, 2022), Edson pesquisa e desenvolve processos criativos experimentais em filmes de ficção.
Seu longa-metragem de estreia, “Estrangeiro” (2018), financiado inteiramente por crowdfunding, estreou na 17ª Mostra do Filme Livre em Brasília, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo e participou de diversos festivais nacionais e internacionais, incluído no Panorama Brasil da Mostra Sesc de Cinema em 2019.
Dirigiu também os curtas “E Agora, Você” (2019), realizado na residência Cine Luso em Bruxelas (Bélgica), “Desenredo” (2025) e “Quando Sair Lá Fora Serei Ana” (codirigido com Jamila Facury, 2025). Laureado como Melhor Diretor no Festival de Cinema de Pedra Azul (2018) por “Estrangeiro” e Melhor Montagem (foto) na Mostra Competitiva do Festival de Brasília (2022) por ambos os curtas “Calunga Maior”, de Thiago Costa, e “Nem o Mar Tem Tanta Água”, de Mayara Valentim.
Paralelamente à direção, Edson acumula experiência como montador e colorista, a exemplo dos longas “Rosa Tirana” (2021), de Rogério Sagui; “A Serena Onda Que o Mar Me Trouxe” (2024), de Edson Ferreira; “Malaika” (2025), de André Morais;“Moagem” (2025), de Ramon Batista; “Ao Sabor das Cinzas (2025), de Taciano Valério, “Camarada Zezita, Severina Me Salvou” (2025), de Aécio Amaral e Ed Junior; a série “Navio do Sertão” (2025), de Patrícia Pinheiro e Aline Paixão; os curtas “Batom Vermelho Sangue” (2020), “Adão, Eva e o Fruto Proibido” (2021) e “A Mulher Invisível” (2024), dirigidos por R. B. Lima, “Calunga Maior” (2022) e “Axé Meu Amor” (2024), ambos de Thiago Costa, “O Sonho de Anu” (2024), de Vanessa Kypá e nos videoclipes “Danado” (2020) e “Batucada” (2022), ambos de Leonardo Alan.
Atualmente desenvolve “A Última Flor”, longa-metragem vencedor do pitching no Festival de Roteiro de Língua Portuguesa – Guiões, Lisboa, Portugal, em 2024.
About Me
Bachelor and Master in Film (UFPB, 2017; UFS, 2022), Edson researches and develops experimental creative processes in fiction films.
His debut feature, “Estrangeiro” (2018), entirely funded through crowdfunding, premiered at the 17th Mostra do Filme Livre in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo, and participated in several national and international festivals, including the Panorama Brasil section of the Mostra Sesc de Cinema in 2019.
